A Simple Plan You Can Actually Keep

Pick one time window: Morning or early afternoon.
Anchor the habit to something you already do (first glass of water, first mug, start of a focus block).

Week 1 — Build the Base (Days 1–7)

  • Day 1 — Choose Your Anchor
    Place the bottle where your anchor happens (on your mug, next to your keyboard, by the kettle). Dose once.
  • Day 2 — One-Minute Ritual
    Dose → say your day’s focus out loud in one sentence → start your first task. Keep it under a minute.
  • Day 3 — Track the Signal
    Right after dosing, jot a 1–5 “energy/focus” score; repeat mid-afternoon. You’re learning your best timing.
  • Day 4 — Pair With Movement
    Dose, then take a brisk 5–10 minute walk. Movement “sets” the alertness you’re aiming for.
  • Day 5 — Remove Friction
    Set a small tray: bottle, water glass/tea bag, notepad. If it’s ready, you won’t skip.
  • Day 6 — Weekend Continuity
    Keep the same time window even if your schedule changes. Flex location, not timing.
  • Day 7 — Review & Adjust

    If coffee crowds the ritual, dose first in warm water/tea, then have coffee 10–15 minutes later.
  • Day 13 — Plan for Chaos
    Set out tomorrow’s mug and bottle tonight. If you miss the window tomorrow, skip—don’t double up later.
  • Day 14 — Make It Ongoing
    Pick your long-term cadence: daily for 4–6 weeks, or 5-on/2-off weekly. Add a calendar nudge to restock at week 3.

  • “No difference yet.” Check your Day 3–7 notes; adjust dose slightly and give it 7 more days.
  • “Sleep felt lighter.” Keep your dose but move it to before noon.
